Pinehurst, NC FPV Drone Pilot and Operator

FPV drone pilot in Pinehurst

We fly FPV and small cinewhoop drones in Pinehurst for course flyovers, resort and hotel fly-throughs, equestrian and brand content. FPV adds close, fast, continuous moves that a standard camera drone cannot get, flown by pilots who rehearse each line first. For general aerials, homes and events see our Pinehurst, NC drone videographer page.

Course flyovers

Our crew has worked Art Basel events in Miami. Hole flyovers that follow the line of play from tee to green suit FPV. Course and resort flights need the club's approval, and USGA championships ban drones for spectators, so championship-week flights have to be part of the approved broadcast or media plan. See FPV drones for live broadcast, Indoor arena FPV drones and Concert and festival FPV drones across the US. For event coverage see Pinehurst, NC live event drones.

Resorts and equestrian content

Resorts, hotels and equestrian events across Pinehurst, Southern Pines and the Sandhills suit FPV that moves from the clubhouse to the course or follows riders, flown with each owner's approval. Flying directly over an open crowd is only allowed when the drone and the operation meet FAA rules for flying over people, so otherwise we keep flight paths over the stage, closed areas and open lanes. Fully enclosed indoor flights are generally outside FAA airspace rules, so we fly one-take fly-throughs with the owner's approval; see indoor fly-through tours.

Sandhills airspace and state rules

Moore County Airport has no control tower. Fort Bragg and Camp Mackall lie to the east and south, with restricted military airspace that starts at the surface in places. North Carolina no longer requires a separate state permit for commercial drone pilots, since the state law requiring one was repealed effective December 1, 2024, so FAA Part 107 certification is the credential that counts. North Carolina state parks need written permission or a special use permit for drone flights. We check every Pinehurst location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it.
