Hoover Met and events
The Hoover Metropolitan Stadium complex hosts baseball, tournaments and events, including the SEC Baseball Tournament in recent years. Alabama's ticketed event drone law, in effect since October 1, 2026, bars flights within 400 feet of or above a ticketed music, sports or performing arts event unless the organizer consents or another exemption applies, so we fly event work with the organizer's written consent. For games, tournaments and events we film recaps, and for larger shows we send live drone feeds to the stream or screens; see live broadcast drones and concert and festival drones.
Real estate and new communities
Ross Bridge, Greystone, Lake Purdy and the newer neighborhoods suit real estate and community films, filmed with the owner's approval. We keep neighbors and people on private property out of frame unless they agree to be filmed. Parks and local rules
Oak Mountain is a state park: Alabama state parks set their own drone rules, so we get written permission from the park before launching on park land. Many Alabama cities limit drone takeoff and landing on city property such as parks, so we launch from private property with the owner's approval or get the city's permission. Alabama law makes it a felony to fly a drone within 500 feet horizontally or 200 feet vertically of a state prison, or to photograph one, so we plan routes well clear of them.
Airspace
Hoover sits southwest of Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International, which has a control tower and Class C airspace, and Bessemer Airport is nearby, so we check each address. We check every Hoover location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it.
