Air Views Media is a drone videography company serving Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, Fort Morgan and Baldwin County for beach resorts, vacation rentals, weddings, boats and brand films. Our crew flew FPV over Kinetic Field at EDC Orlando in 2022. FAA Part 107 certified pilots, $10M liability standard (optional up to $25M).

Gulf Shores and Orange Beach rules
Gulf Shores bars drone takeoff, landing and flight within 500 feet of city venues, outdoor special events and Gulf beach areas unless the flight is FAA authorized and the city has issued a permit, and its permit asks for Part 107, LAANC, a grid map and proof of insurance. Orange Beach has a similar 500 foot rule, so we file the city permits before beach shoots.
Airspace and federal sites
Jack Edwards National Airport, 2 miles north of Gulf Shores, has a control tower, so many addresses need LAANC. Navy outlying fields in Baldwin County tied to NAS Whiting Field are federal no-drone areas. We check every Gulf Shores location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it.
Parks and wildlife
Gulf State Park is a state park: Alabama state parks set their own drone rules, so we get written permission from the park before launching on park land. Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge is federal refuge land, so we fly from outside it unless the refuge approves. We also watch for posted sea turtle and shorebird nesting areas.
Resorts, rentals and weddings
Beach resorts, condos, vacation rentals, boating and weddings are steady work, filmed with the owner's approval. For condos and lobbies an indoor one-take fly-through shows the space in a single shot; see indoor fly-through tours. Alabama's ticketed event drone law, in effect since October 1, 2026, bars flights within 400 feet of or above a ticketed music, sports or performing arts event unless the organizer consents or another exemption applies, so we fly event work with the organizer's written consent. Can you fly a drone on Gulf Shores or Orange Beach beaches?
Only with FAA authorization and a city permit. Both cities bar drones within 500 feet of Gulf beach areas and special events without one.

Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
