Providence
FPV drone pilot in Providence
We fly FPV and small cinewhoop drones in Providence for hotel and venue fly-throughs, campus content, festivals and brand films. FPV adds close, fast, continuous moves that a standard camera drone cannot get, flown by pilots who rehearse each line first. For general aerials, homes and events see our Providence, RI drone videographer page.
Hotels and venues
Our crew flew an indoor micro-drone fly-through of the Tempo by Hilton hotel in Times Square, through its lobbies and rooms. Providence hotels, restaurants and event spaces suit the same one-take approach, flown with the owner's approval. Fully enclosed indoor flights are generally outside FAA airspace rules, so we fly one-take fly-throughs with the owner's approval; see indoor fly-through tours.
Campuses and festivals
College campus content is scheduled around school approvals, and downtown festivals are flown inside the organizer's plan. Flying directly over an open crowd is only allowed when the drone and the operation meet FAA rules for flying over people, so otherwise we keep flight paths over the stage, closed areas and open lanes. See FPV drones for live broadcast, Indoor arena FPV drones and Concert and festival FPV drones across the US.
Federal sites and airspace
Naval Station Newport and the Rhode Island Air National Guard base at Quonset State Airport are federal no-drone areas around the clock. Rhode Island T.F. Green International in Warwick, about 6 miles south of Providence, has Class C airspace, so some Providence addresses need LAANC. We check every Providence location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it. We confirm local permits, venue rules and airspace authorizations before every job.

FAQs
Can you fly a one-take hotel fly-through in Providence?
Yes, with the owner's approval. Fully enclosed indoor flights are generally outside FAA airspace rules.
Can you fly FPV near Naval Station Newport?
No. It is a federal no-drone area, so we plan coastal shoots well clear of it.
What permits do you need for an event in Providence?
It depends on the venue. We confirm local permits, venue rules and airspace authorizations before every job and get the organizer's written approval.
Can FPV footage go live to a stream or screens?
Yes. We send live FPV video to the stream, LED screens or a broadcast truck, and agree the format with your production team before the event.
What insurance do you carry?
Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
