Park City
FPV drone pilot in Park City
We fly FPV and small cinewhoop drones in Park City for lodge and home fly-throughs, brand shoots, weddings and event content. FPV adds close, fast, continuous moves that a standard camera drone cannot get, flown by pilots who rehearse each line first. For general aerials, homes and events see our Park City, UT drone videographer page.
Lodges, homes and brand shoots
Our crew flew an indoor micro-drone fly-through of the Tempo by Hilton hotel in Times Square, through its lobbies and rooms. We fly mountain real estate, lodges, weddings, brand shoots and events around Park City, Deer Valley and the Heber Valley. Fully enclosed indoor flights are generally outside FAA airspace rules, so we fly one-take fly-throughs with the owner's approval; see indoor fly-through tours. See FPV drones for live broadcast, Indoor arena FPV drones and Concert and festival FPV drones across the US. For event coverage see Park City, UT live event drones.
Ski resort drone rules
Park City Mountain bans drones on or above its property, even when launched from outside, without the resort's written permission for approved commercial work. Deer Valley also bans drones without prior written authorization. Resort shoots are arranged with the resort first. Utah Olympic Park and other venues set their own approval rules. Flying directly over an open crowd is only allowed when the drone and the operation meet FAA rules for flying over people, so otherwise we keep flight paths over the stage, closed areas and open lanes.
Parks, forest, state law and airspace
Utah State Parks require the park manager's written permission, carried while flying, and commercial work needs a special use permit. That covers Jordanelle and Wasatch Mountain state parks. The Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest includes designated wilderness, where the Forest Service does not allow drones to take off or land. Utah law requires prior authorization to fly over critical infrastructure such as power, water and rail facilities, and flying into a wildfire flight restriction carries state penalties on top of FAA rules. Heber Valley Airport sits south of town, and Salt Lake City's Class B airspace lies to the west. We check every Park City location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it.

FAQs
Can you fly at Park City Mountain or Deer Valley?
Only with the resort's written permission. Both resorts ban drones over their property without it, so we arrange resort shoots with the resort.
Can you film a mountain wedding?
Yes, on private land or at a venue that approves drones. We confirm the land owner and the airspace for every ceremony site.
Do you fly in winter?
Yes. We plan winter shoots around cold, wind and battery limits and confirm the venue's rules first.
Can FPV footage go live to a stream or screens?
Yes. We send live FPV video to the stream, LED screens or a broadcast truck, and agree the format with your production team before the event.
What insurance do you carry?
Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
