Jackson
FPV drone pilot in Jackson
We fly FPV and small cinewhoop drones in Jackson for hotel and lodge fly-throughs, ranch and resort real estate, weddings and outdoor brand films. FPV adds close, fast, continuous moves that a standard camera drone cannot get, flown by pilots who rehearse each line first. For general aerials, homes and events see our Jackson, WY drone videographer page.
Hotels, lodges and ranches
Our crew flew an indoor micro-drone fly-through of the Tempo by Hilton hotel in Times Square, through its lobbies and rooms. We fly luxury hotels and lodges, ranch and resort real estate, weddings, outdoor brands and events across Jackson Hole. Fully enclosed indoor flights are generally outside FAA airspace rules, so we fly one-take fly-throughs with the owner's approval; see indoor fly-through tours. See FPV drones for live broadcast, Indoor arena FPV drones and Concert and festival FPV drones across the US. For event coverage see Jackson, WY live event drones.
Ski resort and wilderness
Jackson Hole Mountain Resort's safety policy does not allow public drone use on or over the resort, so any production flight there must be arranged with the resort directly. The Teton, Gros Ventre and Jedediah Smith areas are designated wilderness, where the Forest Service does not allow drones to take off or land. We keep neighbors and people on private property out of frame unless they agree to be filmed. Flying directly over an open crowd is only allowed when the drone and the operation meet FAA rules for flying over people, so otherwise we keep flight paths over the stage, closed areas and open lanes.
Grand Teton, the refuge and state law
Grand Teton National Park is National Park Service land, where launching or landing a drone is prohibited without the superintendent's written approval. The same rule covers Yellowstone to the north. Jackson Hole Airport sits inside Grand Teton National Park with a control tower and Class D airspace. The National Elk Refuge next to town also prohibits drones. Wyoming law prohibits flying over or near critical infrastructure, such as power, water, rail, prison and military sites, to photograph or loiter, with an exemption for operators flying under FAA authorization and rules. Wyoming State Parks currently require the department's prior written approval for drones, and rules taking effect January 1, 2027 move that approval to the park superintendent. We check every Jackson location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it.

FAQs
Do you need FAA approval to fly in Jackson?
It depends on the address. Jackson Hole Airport sits inside Grand Teton National Park with Class D airspace. We check every location on the FAA sectional and B4UFLY before quoting and file LAANC where it is needed.
Can you film Grand Teton National Park with a drone?
No. Drones are prohibited in the park without the superintendent's written approval. We plan aerials on private land outside the park.
Can you fly over the National Elk Refuge?
No. The refuge prohibits drones, so we keep shoots on private land and away from wildlife.
Can FPV footage go live to a stream or screens?
Yes. We send live FPV video to the stream, LED screens or a broadcast truck, and agree the format with your production team before the event.
What insurance do you carry?
Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
