Milwaukee, WI FPV Drone Pilot and Operator

FPV drone pilot in Milwaukee

We fly FPV and small cinewhoop drones in Milwaukee for festival FPV, brewery and plant fly-throughs, game day content and brand films. FPV adds close, fast, continuous moves that a standard camera drone cannot get, flown by pilots who rehearse each line first. For general aerials, homes and events see our Milwaukee, WI drone videographer page.

Festivals and concerts

Our crew filmed Megan Thee Stallion's set at Rolling Loud Miami 2021 with a micro FPV drone. Milwaukee's lakefront festivals and concerts suit close FPV moves inside the organizer's production plan. Flying directly over an open crowd is only allowed when the drone and the operation meet FAA rules for flying over people, so otherwise we keep flight paths over the stage, closed areas and open lanes. See FPV drones for live broadcast, Indoor arena FPV drones and Concert and festival FPV drones across the US. For event coverage see Milwaukee, WI live event drones.

Breweries, plants and venues

Breweries, plants and downtown venues suit one-take FPV tours for recruiting and brand films, flown with the owner's approval. Fully enclosed indoor flights are generally outside FAA airspace rules, so we fly one-take fly-throughs with the owner's approval; see indoor fly-through tours. American Family Field and the Milwaukee Mile in West Allis are on the FAA stadium list, so the 3 nautical mile flight restriction applies from an hour before to an hour after covered events.

Federal sites, airspace and parks

The 128th Air Refueling Wing's base at Milwaukee Mitchell International and the Coast Guard sector base on the lakefront are federal no-drone areas around the clock. Mitchell has Class C airspace, and Lawrence J. Timmerman Airport has its own control tower. Milwaukee County Parks still requires written permission from the parks director for aircraft takeoffs and landings, and prior approval for drone filming, so we get it before flying from county park land. We check every Milwaukee location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it. We confirm local permits, venue rules and airspace authorizations before every job.
