Dayton
FPV drone pilot in Dayton
We fly FPV and small cinewhoop drones in Dayton for aviation and race content, plant and office fly-throughs, festivals and brand films. FPV adds close, fast, continuous moves that a standard camera drone cannot get, flown by pilots who rehearse each line first. For general aerials, homes and events see our Dayton, OH drone videographer page.
Races and launches
Our crew flew drones down the Las Vegas Strip and around the F1 cars at the 2022 Las Vegas Grand Prix launch party. Dayton brand launches and motorsport content suit fast FPV lines flown on private sites with the owner's approval. See FPV drones for live broadcast, Indoor arena FPV drones and Concert and festival FPV drones across the US. For event coverage see Dayton, OH live event drones.
Plants, offices and festivals
Manufacturing plants, offices and venues suit one-take FPV tours with the owner's approval and a plan agreed with safety staff. Fully enclosed indoor flights are generally outside FAA airspace rules, so we fly one-take fly-throughs with the owner's approval; see indoor fly-through tours. Flying directly over an open crowd is only allowed when the drone and the operation meet FAA rules for flying over people, so otherwise we keep flight paths over the stage, closed areas and open lanes.
Wright-Patterson and airspace
Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, including the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force grounds, is a federal no-drone area around the clock. LAANC is not available at the base airfield, so addresses in its airspace need a separate FAA authorization. Dayton International, about 9 miles north of downtown, has Class C airspace, and Wright-Patterson's airfield sits to the east, so many Dayton addresses need FAA authorization. We check every Dayton location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it. We confirm local permits, venue rules and airspace authorizations before every job.
