Naples Airport
Naples Airport, 2 miles northeast of downtown, has a control tower and says drone use in much of the city is generally prohibited because the airport is so close, though it is a LAANC facility, so we file for the exact site and altitude. We check every Naples location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it.
Luxury real estate and resorts
Waterfront estates, golf communities and resorts are steady work, filmed with the owner's approval. Florida's drone privacy law protects people on private property who cannot be seen from the ground, so we keep neighbors out of frame or get their consent. Parks, the Everglades and beaches
Everglades National Park and Big Cypress National Preserve are National Park Service land, which bans drone launches without the superintendent's written approval. Delnor-Wiggins Pass and Collier-Seminole are state parks: Florida state parks prohibit drone takeoff and landing on park land, so we launch from outside the park. Marco Island's code bars drones within 500 feet of posted protected nests and habitats. Beach shoots add their own limits: crowds, launch spots and sea turtle and shorebird nesting closures, so we check local rules and posted signs first.
Events and Florida law
For events, galas and festivals we film recaps, and for larger shows we send live drone feeds to the stream or screens; see live broadcast drones and concert and festival drones. Florida Statute 330.41 bars drone flights over critical infrastructure such as substations, water plants, seaports, airports and military sites unless the flight is a commercial one that follows FAA rules or the owner consents in writing, and it bars flights over K-12 schools, so we plan routes around both.
