Little Rock, AR Drone Videographer and Operator

Air Views Media is a drone videography company serving Little Rock and Central Arkansas for hotels, the riverfront, stadium events, real estate and brand films. Our crew flew an indoor micro-drone fly-through of the Tempo by Hilton hotel in Times Square, through its lobbies and rooms. FAA Part 107 certified pilots, $10M liability standard (optional up to $25M).

Little Rock

Hotels, venues and game days

Our crew flew an indoor micro-drone fly-through of the Tempo by Hilton hotel in Times Square and has flown more than 15 Charleston-area hotel fly-throughs for Vive Media. Little Rock hotels, convention spaces and River Market venues suit the same one-take approach. Fully enclosed indoor flights are generally outside FAA airspace rules, so we fly one-take fly-throughs with the owner's approval; see indoor fly-through tours. War Memorial Stadium is on the FAA stadium list, so the 3 nautical mile flight restriction applies from an hour before to an hour after covered events. For concerts, festivals and games we film recaps, and for larger shows we send live drone feeds to the stream or screens; see live broadcast drones and concert and festival drones.

Federal sites and restricted airspace

Little Rock Air Force Base in Jacksonville and Camp Joseph T. Robinson in North Little Rock are federal no-drone areas around the clock, and restricted areas R-2403A and R-2403B north of the city start at the surface. The Army Corps of Engineers' locks and dams on the Arkansas River, including those in Pulaski County, are federal no-drone areas too, and so is Pine Bluff Arsenal to the southeast.

Arkansas law and parks

Arkansas law makes it an offense to use a drone to surveil or record critical infrastructure, such as power plants, refineries, rail facilities and communications sites, without the owner's written consent, or to surveil a person or private property. Drones flown for a commercial purpose under FAA rules are excluded, but we still get the owner's written consent. Arkansas State Parks require prior approval through a special use permit before drone flights, so we apply ahead with our FAA registration and insurance. City park and event permits come from the City of Little Rock and the event organizer, so we check them before any public-space shoot. We keep neighbors and people on private property out of frame unless they agree to be filmed.

Airspace

Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport, about 2 miles east of downtown, has Class C airspace, so most central Little Rock addresses need LAANC, and Little Rock Air Force Base has its own controlled airspace to the northeast. We check every Little Rock location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it.

FAQs

Can you fly near Little Rock Air Force Base?

No. Little Rock Air Force Base is a federal no-drone area from the surface to 400 feet, so we plan Jacksonville shoots well clear of it.

Can you fly near War Memorial Stadium on game days?

Not inside the FAA stadium flight restriction, which covers 3 nautical miles from an hour before to an hour after covered events. We schedule nearby shoots outside that window.

Can you fly in Arkansas state parks?

Only with prior approval through a special use permit, so we apply ahead with our FAA registration and insurance.

Do you need FAA approval to fly in Little Rock?

It depends on the address. Clinton National Airport has Class C airspace. We check every location on the FAA sectional and B4UFLY before quoting and file LAANC where it is needed.

What insurance do you carry?

Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
