Shreveport, LA Drone Videographer and Operator

Air Views Media is a drone videography company serving Shreveport, Bossier City and Northwest Louisiana for casino resorts, events, film productions, real estate and brand films. Our crew flew live drone feeds for TV and the video board for the Atlanta Braves at Truist Park. FAA Part 107 certified pilots, $10M liability standard (optional up to $25M).

Shreveport

Riverfront, resorts and events

The Red River waterfront, casino resorts, downtown and the Shreveport-Bossier event venues suit aerials, filmed with the property's or organizer's approval. For resorts and venues an indoor one-take fly-through shows the space in a single shot; see indoor fly-through tours. For concerts, festivals and games we film recaps, and for larger shows we send live drone feeds to the stream or screens; see live broadcast drones and concert and festival drones.

Barksdale Air Force Base

Barksdale Air Force Base in Bossier City is a federal no-drone area with its own control tower and military airspace, and Louisiana law makes recording a military installation by drone without the commander's consent a crime. We plan every Bossier City shoot well clear of the base.

Independence Stadium and Louisiana law

Independence Stadium is on the FAA stadium list, so the 3 nautical mile flight restriction applies from an hour before to an hour after covered events. Unless a flight complies with FAA rules, Louisiana law makes it a crime to record refineries, chemical plants, schools, ports, pipelines or other critical infrastructure without the owner's written consent, to fly over a jail without permission, or to record a military site without the commander's consent; flying over fenced critical infrastructure without authority is a separate crime, so we get written consent first or keep those sites out of the shot. Louisiana law bars flying a drone over a permitted parade or parade route, including Mardi Gras parades, unless the flight is for an authorized film or TV production. Louisiana preempts local drone ordinances, but cities and parishes still control takeoff and landing on their own property, so we launch from private property with the owner's approval or get permission. We keep neighbors and people on private property out of frame unless they agree to be filmed. For New Orleans itself, including the French Quarter and the Superdome, see New Orleans drone videography; we plan Shreveport jobs alongside that work.

Airspace

Shreveport Regional, about 4 miles southwest of downtown, and Shreveport Downtown Airport, about 3 miles north, both have control towers, so many addresses need LAANC. We check every Shreveport location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it.

FAQs

Can you fly near Barksdale Air Force Base?

No. Barksdale is a federal no-drone area, and Louisiana law makes recording a military installation by drone without the commander's consent a crime.

Can you fly near Independence Stadium on game days?

Not inside the FAA stadium flight restriction, which covers 3 nautical miles from an hour before to an hour after covered events. We schedule nearby shoots outside that window.

Do you need FAA approval to fly in Shreveport?

It depends on the address. Shreveport Regional and Shreveport Downtown both have control towers. We check every location on the FAA sectional and B4UFLY before quoting and file LAANC where it is needed.

Can you film inside casinos and resorts?

Yes, with the property's approval. We fly indoor one-take fly-throughs that show lobbies, gaming floors and rooms in a single shot.

What insurance do you carry?

Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
