We fly festivals, cabin and resort rentals, mountain weddings, wineries, tubing and tourism content around the Alpine village of Helen, Sautee Nacoochee and White County. Helen's Oktoberfest runs for weeks each fall and is the town's biggest draw. For festivals and concerts we film recaps, and for larger shows we send live drone feeds to the stream or screens; see live broadcast drones and concert and festival drones.
Unicoi State Park and Anna Ruby Falls
Unicoi State Park borders Helen. Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites prohibit drones unless the Division Director grants a waiver for a professional commercial project, requested for exact dates, times and sites with FAA registration and Part 107 certification. Anna Ruby Falls is a Forest Service recreation area in Chattahoochee National Forest, so we check with the Forest Service before any flight or commercial filming there.
Chattahoochee National Forest
Raven Cliffs Wilderness north of Helen is designated wilderness, where the Forest Service does not allow drones to take off or land. Elsewhere in the national forest, commercial filming may need a Forest Service permit, so we confirm before quoting.
Mountain airspace
Habersham County Airport, the nearest public airport, has no control tower, and most of the valley is outside busy airspace, but ridges, wind and trees set their own limits. We check every Helen location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it. A Georgia law in effect since April 1, 2025 makes it a misdemeanor to fly within 400 feet of or above a ticketed entertainment event without the consent of whoever controls the event, with an exception for FAA-authorized operators flying lawfully, so we get the organizer's consent in writing.

Can you fly at Oktoberfest in Helen?
Only with the organizer's consent and a flight plan that keeps the drone off the crowd. Georgia law bars flights within 400 feet of a ticketed event without consent.
Can you fly in Unicoi State Park?
Only with a waiver from the Georgia State Parks division, requested for exact dates, times and sites. Without one we film from private land outside the park.
Can you fly in Raven Cliffs Wilderness?
No. Drones may not take off or land in designated wilderness, so we plan mountain aerials from private land or other approved sites.
Do you film cabins and wedding venues?
Yes, with the owner's approval. We plan flights around trees, ridgelines and guests who have not agreed to be filmed.
What insurance do you carry?
Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
