Dahlonega, GA Drone Videographer and Operator

Air Views Media is a drone videography company serving Dahlonega, Lumpkin County and the North Georgia mountains for weddings, wineries, cabins, real estate, downtown businesses and brand films. Our Georgia crew flew live drone feeds for TV and the video board for the Atlanta Braves at Truist Park. FAA Part 107 certified pilots, $10M liability standard (optional up to $25M).

Dahlonega

The square and the gold rush

Dahlonega was the center of the first major U.S. gold rush, which followed the discovery of gold in the area in 1828, and the 1836 courthouse on the public square now houses the Dahlonega Gold Museum State Historic Site. The square's shops, restaurants and tasting rooms suit aerial promos, and for interiors an indoor one-take fly-through shows the room the way a guest sees it; see indoor fly-through tours. The museum is a state historic site, so flying over it needs a Georgia State Parks drone waiver.

Wineries and weddings

The vineyards around Dahlonega host weddings, harvest events and tastings, and aerials show the rows, the views and the venue in one take. For weddings, festivals and winery events we film recaps, and for larger shows we send live drone feeds to the stream or screens; see live broadcast drones and concert and festival drones.

Mountains, cabins and the university

Cabin rentals and mountain land sell on the view, and the gold steeple of the University of North Georgia anchors campus content. Much of the surrounding land is Chattahoochee National Forest, where drones may not take off or land in designated wilderness and commercial filming may need a Forest Service permit, and Amicalola Falls State Park requires a Georgia State Parks drone waiver. We check each site before quoting.

Airspace

In the mountains the bigger limits are often terrain and land rules: ridgelines block line of sight and the control signal, so we pick launch points before the shoot. We check every Dahlonega location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it.

FAQs

Can you fly over the Gold Museum on the square?

Only with a drone waiver from Georgia State Parks, because the museum is a state historic site. Shots of the rest of the square are planned around it.

Do you film weddings at Dahlonega wineries?

Yes, with the venue's approval. We film ceremonies, receptions and venue promos, keeping a safe distance from guests.

Can you fly in the Chattahoochee National Forest?

In many places, yes, but drones may not take off or land in designated wilderness, and commercial filming may need a Forest Service permit. We check each site before quoting.

Do you film cabins and mountain real estate?

Yes. Cabin rentals, homes and land across Lumpkin County and the surrounding mountains.

What insurance do you carry?

Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
