Denver, CO Drone Videographer and Operator
Air Views Media is a drone videography company serving Denver, Aurora and the Front Range for stadium events, concerts, festivals, real estate and brand films. Our crew flies EDC Las Vegas as a three-pilot drone team, with over-the-crowd drones fed into the Hulu live stream. FAA Part 107 certified pilots, $10M liability standard (optional up to $25M).
Denver
Stadiums and events
Empower Field at Mile High and Coors Field are on the FAA stadium list, so the 3 nautical mile flight restriction applies from an hour before to an hour after covered events. Denver park rules do not allow drones in city parks, including mountain parks such as Red Rocks, without the city's authorization, so we work with the venue and the city on every concert shoot. For concerts, festivals and games we film recaps, and for larger shows we send live drone feeds to the stream or screens; see live broadcast drones and concert and festival drones. Our nearest regional work is in Las Vegas, where we have flown EDC Las Vegas, the Sphere and the Las Vegas Grand Prix launch; see Las Vegas drone videography.
Buckley SFB and federal sites
Buckley Space Force Base in Aurora, the federal prison in Englewood and the Lockheed Martin Waterton site in Jefferson County are federal no-drone areas around the clock, and Buckley has its own tower and military airspace. We plan every east-side shoot around them.
Colorado law and parks
Colorado has no statewide drone preemption law, so cities, counties, open space agencies and ski resorts set their own rules, and state law makes using a drone to obstruct police, firefighters or other first responders a crime. Colorado Parks and Wildlife bans drones in state parks except the designated model aircraft fields at Cherry Creek and Chatfield, and on state wildlife areas, so we ask the park about a special use permit well ahead of any other state park shoot. We keep neighbors and people on private property out of frame unless they agree to be filmed.
Airspace
Denver International, about 16 miles northeast of downtown, sits under Denver Class B airspace, and Centennial and Rocky Mountain Metropolitan have control towers, so many Denver addresses need LAANC or FAA authorization. Wildfire and other hazard TFRs close the airspace to drones with little notice, so we check NOTAMs again on the day of every flight. We check every Denver location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it.

FAQs
Can you fly near Empower Field or Coors Field on game days?
Not inside the FAA stadium flight restriction, which covers 3 nautical miles from an hour before to an hour after covered events. We schedule nearby shoots outside that window.
Can you fly at Red Rocks?
Only with the City and County of Denver's authorization and the venue's approval. Denver park rules do not allow drones in city parks, including Red Rocks Park, without it.
Can you fly drones in Colorado state parks?
Only in the model aircraft fields at Cherry Creek and Chatfield State Parks, or with a special use permit from the park. Drones are also barred from state wildlife areas.
Do you need FAA approval to fly in Denver?
It depends on the address. Denver International sits under Class B airspace, and Centennial and Rocky Mountain Metropolitan are towered. We check every location on the FAA sectional and B4UFLY before quoting and file LAANC where it is needed.
What insurance do you carry?
Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
