Starkville
FPV drone pilot in Starkville
We fly FPV and small cinewhoop drones in Starkville for stadium FPV, video board content, campus events, real estate and brand films. FPV adds close, fast, continuous moves that a standard camera drone cannot get, flown by pilots who rehearse each line first. For general aerials, homes and events see our Starkville, MS drone videographer page.
Inside Davis Wade Stadium
Our crew flies live drone feeds to the Davis Wade Stadium video boards for Mississippi State football. For the 2026 Mississippi State football season we fly live drone feeds to the video boards at Davis Wade Stadium, flown inside the stadium as a live camera in the game-day show. Davis Wade Stadium is on the FAA stadium list, so the 3 nautical mile flight restriction applies from an hour before to an hour after covered events. Mississippi State requires an approved UAS Operations Request, submitted three weeks ahead, for any drone flight on university property or at a university event. See FPV drones for live broadcast, Indoor arena FPV drones and Concert and festival FPV drones across the US. For event coverage see Starkville, MS live event drones.
The Golden Triangle
Downtown Starkville, the Cotton District, Columbus, West Point, farms and new communities suit real estate and brand films, filmed with the owner's approval. Fully enclosed indoor flights are generally outside FAA airspace rules, so we fly one-take fly-throughs with the owner's approval; see indoor fly-through tours. Flying directly over an open crowd is only allowed when the drone and the operation meet FAA rules for flying over people, so otherwise we keep flight paths over the stage, closed areas and open lanes.
Columbus Air Force Base and airspace
Columbus Air Force Base, north of Columbus, and its auxiliary field near Shuqualak in Noxubee County are federal no-drone areas, and the base has its own control tower and military airspace. George M. Bryan Field, about 3 miles southwest of Starkville, has no control tower, while Golden Triangle Regional has a tower and controlled airspace between Starkville and Columbus. We confirm local permits, venue rules and airspace authorizations before every job. We check every Starkville location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it.

FAQs
Can you fly on the Mississippi State campus?
Only with an approved UAS Operations Request, which the university asks for three weeks ahead. Recreational flights over campus are not allowed.
Can you fly near Columbus Air Force Base?
No. The base and its auxiliary field are federal no-drone areas, and nearby addresses sit in military controlled airspace.
Do you need FAA approval to fly in Starkville?
It depends on the address. George M. Bryan Field has no control tower, but Golden Triangle Regional does. We check every location on the FAA sectional and B4UFLY before quoting and file LAANC where it is needed.
Can FPV footage go live to a stream or screens?
Yes. We send live FPV video to the stream, LED screens or a broadcast truck, and agree the format with your production team before the event.
What insurance do you carry?
Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
