Shreveport, LA FPV Drone Pilot and Operator

FPV drone pilot in Shreveport

We fly FPV and small cinewhoop drones in Shreveport for casino resort and venue fly-throughs, riverfront events, concerts and brand launches. FPV adds close, fast, continuous moves that a standard camera drone cannot get, flown by pilots who rehearse each line first. For general aerials, homes and events see our Shreveport, LA drone videographer page.

Resorts and venues

Our crew has flown one-take interior fly-throughs of more than 15 Charleston-area hotels for Vive Media. The casino resorts on the Red River and the Shreveport-Bossier event venues suit the same one-take approach, flown with the property's approval. Fully enclosed indoor flights are generally outside FAA airspace rules, so we fly one-take fly-throughs with the owner's approval; see indoor fly-through tours.

Concerts and stadium events

Independence Stadium is on the FAA stadium list, so the 3 nautical mile flight restriction applies from an hour before to an hour after covered events. Flying directly over an open crowd is only allowed when the drone and the operation meet FAA rules for flying over people, so otherwise we keep flight paths over the stage, closed areas and open lanes. See FPV drones for live broadcast, Indoor arena FPV drones and Concert and festival FPV drones across the US. For event coverage see Shreveport, LA live event drones.

Barksdale Air Force Base

Barksdale Air Force Base in Bossier City is a federal no-drone area with its own control tower and military airspace, so we plan every Bossier City flight well clear of the base. We check every Shreveport location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it.

Louisiana drone law

Unless a flight complies with FAA rules, Louisiana law makes it a crime to record refineries, chemical plants, schools, ports, pipelines or other critical infrastructure without the owner's written consent, to fly over a jail without permission, or to record a military site without the commander's consent; flying over fenced critical infrastructure without authority is a separate crime, so we get written consent first or keep those sites out of the shot. Louisiana law bars flying a drone over a permitted parade or parade route, including Mardi Gras parades, unless the flight is for an authorized film or TV production.

FAQs

Can you fly a fly-through of a casino resort?

Yes, with the property's approval and a route planned around guests, gaming floors and security.

Can you fly near Barksdale Air Force Base?

No. Barksdale is a federal no-drone area with its own military airspace, so we stay well clear of it.

Can you fly FPV over a Mardi Gras parade?

Not over a permitted parade or parade route unless the flight is for an authorized film or TV production.

Can FPV footage go live to a stream or screens?

Yes. We send live FPV video to the stream, LED screens or a broadcast truck, and agree the format with your production team before the event.

What insurance do you carry?

Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
