Honolulu
FPV drone pilot in Honolulu
We fly FPV and small cinewhoop drones in Honolulu for resort and hotel fly-throughs, concert FPV, tourism content and brand films. FPV adds close, fast, continuous moves that a standard camera drone cannot get, flown by pilots who rehearse each line first. For general aerials, homes and events see our Honolulu, HI drone videographer page.
Concerts and festivals
Our crew has flown the aerial livestream at Outside Lands in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco since 2023. Honolulu concerts and festivals suit close FPV inside the organizer's production plan. Flying directly over an open crowd is only allowed when the drone and the operation meet FAA rules for flying over people, so otherwise we keep flight paths over the stage, closed areas and open lanes. See FPV drones for live broadcast, Indoor arena FPV drones and Concert and festival FPV drones across the US. For event coverage see Honolulu, HI live event drones.
Resorts and hotels
Waikiki and Ko Olina resorts suit one-take FPV from lobby to pool to ocean view, flown with the property's approval. Fully enclosed indoor flights are generally outside FAA airspace rules, so we fly one-take fly-throughs with the owner's approval; see indoor fly-through tours. Beach shoots add their own limits: crowds, launch spots and sea turtle and shorebird nesting closures, so we check local rules and posted signs first.
Class B airspace and military bases
Daniel K. Inouye International sits under Class B airspace, and Waikiki is inside it, so most Honolulu flights need FAA authorization through LAANC. Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam is a no-drone zone, and the military treats Marine Corps Base Hawaii at Kaneohe Bay and other Oahu installations the same way. Pearl Harbor National Memorial is National Park Service land, where launching or landing a drone is prohibited without the superintendent's written approval. City and County of Honolulu parks and beach parks have their own permit rules for filming, so we confirm city approval before any beach park shoot. We check every Honolulu location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it. We confirm local permits, venue rules and airspace authorizations before every job.

FAQs
Can you fly FPV inside a Waikiki resort?
Yes, with the owner's approval and a route agreed with staff. Fully enclosed indoor flights are generally outside FAA airspace rules.
Do you need FAA authorization to fly FPV in Waikiki?
Usually. Daniel K. Inouye International's Class B airspace covers Waikiki, so we file LAANC first.
Can you fly FPV near Pearl Harbor?
No. Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam is a no-drone zone, and the memorial needs the superintendent's written approval.
Can FPV footage go live to a stream or screens?
Yes. We send live FPV video to the stream, LED screens or a broadcast truck, and agree the format with your production team before the event.
What insurance do you carry?
Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
