We fly FPV and small cinewhoop drones in Boulder for venue and office fly-throughs, concerts, races and brand films. Concerts, races and venues

Our crew filmed Megan Thee Stallion's set at Rolling Loud Miami 2021 with a micro FPV drone. Boulder concerts, races and festivals suit the same coverage inside the organizer's plan. Flying directly over an open crowd is only allowed when the drone and the operation meet FAA rules for flying over people, so otherwise we keep flight paths over the stage, closed areas and open lanes. Offices and venues suit one-take FPV tours with the owner's approval. Folsom Field

Folsom Field is on the FAA stadium list, so the 3 nautical mile flight restriction applies from an hour before to an hour after covered events. We fly game days only inside an approved production.

Open space, state law and airspace

The City of Boulder does not allow drones to launch, land or operate on its Open Space and Mountain Parks land, which includes the Flatirons, apart from approved research, rescue and public safety uses. Colorado has no statewide drone preemption law, so cities, counties, open space agencies and ski resorts set their own rules, and state law makes using a drone to obstruct police, firefighters or other first responders a crime. Boulder Municipal Airport has no control tower, and Rocky Mountain Metropolitan, about 10 miles southeast, is towered, so some addresses need LAANC. We check every Boulder location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it. We confirm local permits, venue rules and airspace authorizations before every job.

Can you fly FPV inside a Boulder venue or office?

Yes, with the owner's approval and a route agreed with staff. Fully enclosed indoor flights are generally outside FAA airspace rules.

Can you fly FPV over the Flatirons?

Not from city open space. Boulder does not allow drones to launch, land or operate on Open Space and Mountain Parks land.

Can you fly at Folsom Field on event days?

Can FPV footage go live to a stream or screens?

Yes. We send live FPV video to the stream, LED screens or a broadcast truck, and agree the format with your production team before the event.

What insurance do you carry?

Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
