We fly Riverfront events, convention and corporate work, campuses, construction progress and real estate across Wilmington and New Castle County. For events and conventions we film recaps, and for larger shows we send live drone feeds to the stream or screens; see live broadcast drones and concert and festival drones.
Airspace
Wilmington Airport in New Castle has Class D airspace south of the city, and downtown sits under the Philadelphia Class B shelf, which starts well above drone altitudes. New Castle Air National Guard Base at the airport, the Marine Corps Reserve training center in Wilmington and Dover Air Force Base are federal no-drone areas, closed from the ground to 400 feet around the clock. We check every Wilmington location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it.
Delaware drone law
Delaware law bars flying over critical infrastructure and over sporting events, concerts and festivals with more than 1,500 people, but it exempts FAA-authorized commercial operators and flights with the property owner's written permission, and only the state, not cities or counties, may regulate drones. Dover Motor Speedway is on the FAA stadium list, so the 3 nautical mile flight restriction applies from an hour before to an hour after covered events.
State parks
Delaware State Parks require the Director's prior consent to launch or land a drone, and drones otherwise fly only in areas set aside for them. That covers Wilmington State Parks and Brandywine Creek State Park.

FAQs
Do you need FAA approval to fly in Wilmington?
It depends on the address. Wilmington Airport has Class D airspace south of the city, and the Air National Guard base there is closed to drones. We check every location on the FAA sectional and B4UFLY before quoting and file LAANC where it is needed.
Can you fly over a Delaware event with a big crowd?
Delaware bars flights over events with more than 1,500 people, but FAA-authorized commercial pilots are exempt. We still follow FAA rules on flights over people.
Can you fly near Dover Motor Speedway?
Not inside the FAA flight restriction during covered race events. We schedule nearby shoots outside that window.
Can you fly in Delaware state parks?
Only with the Director's prior consent or in areas set aside for drones. We request approval before any park shoot.
What insurance do you carry?
Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
