Southern Miss and M.M. Roberts Stadium

Our crew flew five days of live coverage, live to FOX, at the FIFA Fan Festival Atlanta. M.M. Roberts Stadium is on the FAA stadium list, so the 3 nautical mile flight restriction applies from an hour before to an hour after covered events. Downtown and the Pine Belt

Downtown Hattiesburg, the medical district, Petal, the Longleaf Trace and new communities suit brand, recruiting and real estate films, filmed with the owner's approval. We keep neighbors and people on private property out of frame unless they agree to be filmed. Flying directly over an open crowd is only allowed when the drone and the operation meet FAA rules for flying over people, so otherwise we keep flight paths over the stage, closed areas and open lanes. Fully enclosed indoor flights are generally outside FAA airspace rules, so we fly one-take fly-throughs with the owner's approval; see indoor fly-through tours.

Camp Shelby and airspace

Camp Shelby, south of the city in Forrest County, is a federal no-drone area. For jobs toward Meridian, NAS Meridian and Key Field are federal no-drone areas too. Hattiesburg Bobby L. Chain Municipal, about 4 miles southeast of downtown, and Hattiesburg-Laurel Regional to the north have no control towers. We confirm local permits, venue rules and airspace authorizations before every job.
