Live event drones in Albuquerque
This page is for event producers, promoters and venues planning a live event in Albuquerque. We fly concerts, festivals, parades, arena shows, races and brand activations, with drone feeds sent live to screens, the stream or a broadcast truck, plus fast edits for social. For homes, tourism and general aerials see our Albuquerque, NM drone videographer page.
Festivals and concerts
Our crew has flown the Life is Beautiful festival in downtown Las Vegas. Albuquerque's festivals and concerts suit the same coverage, flown inside the organizer's production plan. During the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta each October, the FAA restricts drones around Balloon Fiesta Park, so we do not fly there during the event. Flying directly over an open crowd is only allowed when the drone and the operation meet FAA rules for flying over people, so otherwise we keep flight paths over the stage, closed areas and open lanes. See Live drone feeds for video boards and Concert and festival FPV drones across the US.
Game days
University Stadium is on the FAA stadium list, so the 3 nautical mile flight restriction applies from an hour before to an hour after covered events. We fly stadium events only inside an approved production.
Kirtland and the Sunport
Albuquerque International Sunport sits under Class C airspace and shares its runways with Kirtland Air Force Base. Kirtland, which includes Sandia National Laboratories, is a federal no-drone area from the ground to 400 feet around the clock. Petroglyph National Monument includes National Park Service land, where launching or landing a drone is prohibited without the superintendent's written approval. We check every Albuquerque location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it.
Permits
We confirm local permits, venue rules and airspace authorizations before every job.

FAQs
Can you fly at the Balloon Fiesta?
Not during the event. The FAA restricts drones around Balloon Fiesta Park, so we cover nearby events instead.
Can you fly at University Stadium on event days?
Not inside the FAA stadium flight restriction, which covers 3 nautical miles from an hour before to an hour after covered events, unless we are part of the approved production.
Can you fly near Kirtland Air Force Base?
No. Kirtland is a federal no-drone area, and the Sunport shares its runways, so we plan launch points well clear of it.
Can you send a live drone feed to screens or a stream?
Yes. We send live drone video to LED screens, the livestream or a broadcast truck, and agree the format and cue points with your production team before show day.
What insurance do you carry?
Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
