St. Louis
FPV drone pilot in St. Louis
We fly FPV and small cinewhoop drones in St. Louis for stadium and arena events, festivals, brand activations, venue fly-throughs and live feeds. FPV adds close, fast, continuous moves that a standard camera drone cannot get, flown by pilots who rehearse each line first. For general aerials, homes and events see our St. Louis, MO drone videographer page.
Enterprise Center and indoor venues
Enterprise Center downtown, the convention center and the city's hotels, theaters and music venues suit FPV with each venue's approval. Indoor flights at an arena need the venue's approval and a flight plan agreed with production, security and the lighting crew, and we fly small, lightweight drones close to the action. Fully enclosed indoor flights are generally outside FAA airspace rules, so we fly one-take fly-throughs with the owner's approval; see indoor fly-through tours. See FPV drones for live broadcast, Indoor arena FPV drones and Concert and festival FPV drones across the US.
Busch Stadium and game days
Busch Stadium is on the FAA stadium list, so the 3 nautical mile flight restriction applies from an hour before to an hour after covered events. Our crew flew live drone feeds for TV and the video board for the Atlanta Braves at Truist Park, and we can bring that setup to a St. Louis venue with the team's approval.
City drone ordinance and Forest Park
The City of St. Louis regulates commercial drone use through Ordinance 71813, which took effect March 26, 2024 and added Chapter 15.190 to the city code, so we review it for every job. Flying in Forest Park needs a Board of Public Service permit with a certificate of liability insurance, according to Forest Park Forever.
Airspace and federal sites
St. Louis Lambert International, about 10 miles northwest of downtown, has Class B airspace, so many St. Louis addresses need LAANC. The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency's sites in the city and Jefferson Barracks in south St. Louis County are federal no-drone areas. We check every St. Louis location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it.

FAQs
Does St. Louis regulate commercial drones?
Yes. City Ordinance 71813, in effect since March 26, 2024, regulates commercial drone use, and Forest Park flights need a Board of Public Service permit with liability insurance.
Can you fly FPV inside Enterprise Center?
Only with the venue's approval and a flight plan agreed with production, security and lighting. We fly small, lightweight drones close to the action.
Can you fly near Busch Stadium on game days?
Not inside the FAA stadium flight restriction, which covers 3 nautical miles from an hour before to an hour after covered events. We schedule nearby shoots outside that window.
Can FPV footage go live to a stream or screens?
Yes. We send live FPV video to the stream, LED screens or a broadcast truck, and agree the format with your production team before the event.
What insurance do you carry?
Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
