Oklahoma City

FPV drone pilot in Oklahoma City

We fly FPV and small cinewhoop drones in Oklahoma City for arena shows, venue and hotel fly-throughs, game day content and brand launches. FPV adds close, fast, continuous moves that a standard camera drone cannot get, flown by pilots who rehearse each line first. For general aerials, homes and events see our Oklahoma City, OK drone videographer page.

Arena shows

Our crew flew drones inside Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle to film Paramore's 2023 show. Indoor arena shows here suit the same approach, flown with the venue's approval and a flight plan agreed with production, security and lighting. Fully enclosed indoor flights are generally outside FAA airspace rules, so we fly one-take fly-throughs with the owner's approval; see indoor fly-through tours. See FPV drones for live broadcast, Indoor arena FPV drones and Concert and festival FPV drones across the US. For event coverage see Oklahoma City, OK live event drones.

Game days and venues

Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium in Norman is on the FAA stadium list, so the 3 nautical mile flight restriction applies from an hour before to an hour after covered events. Bricktown venues, hotels and restaurants suit one-take fly-throughs with the owner's approval. Flying directly over an open crowd is only allowed when the drone and the operation meet FAA rules for flying over people, so otherwise we keep flight paths over the stage, closed areas and open lanes.

Tinker and federal sites

Tinker Air Force Base in Midwest City, the Will Rogers Air National Guard Base and the Federal Transfer Center at Will Rogers World Airport, and the federal prison in El Reno are federal no-drone areas around the clock. We check every Oklahoma City location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it.

Oklahoma drone law

Oklahoma law bars flying a drone below 400 feet over fenced or posted critical infrastructure, such as refineries, substations, water plants, pipelines, rail yards and cell towers, unless a commercial operator is FAA-authorized for that airspace or the operator has written consent, and SB 1441, in effect since November 1, 2026, adds criminal penalties.

FAQs

Can you fly FPV inside an Oklahoma City arena?

Yes, with the venue's approval and a flight plan agreed with production, security and lighting. We fly small, lightweight drones close to the action.

Does Oklahoma law limit drones over industrial sites?

Yes. Flying below 400 feet over fenced or posted critical infrastructure is barred unless a commercial operator is FAA-authorized for that airspace or the operator has written consent, and since November 1, 2026 violations carry criminal penalties.

Can you fly at Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium on event days?

Not inside the FAA stadium flight restriction, which covers 3 nautical miles from an hour before to an hour after covered events, unless we are part of the approved production.

Can FPV footage go live to a stream or screens?

Yes. We send live FPV video to the stream, LED screens or a broadcast truck, and agree the format with your production team before the event.

What insurance do you carry?

Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
