Frisco, TX FPV Drone Pilot and Operator

FPV drone pilot in Frisco

We fly FPV and small cinewhoop drones in Frisco for golf content, ballpark and soccer content, venue fly-throughs and brand launches. FPV adds close, fast, continuous moves that a standard camera drone cannot get, flown by pilots who rehearse each line first. For general aerials, homes and events see our Frisco, TX drone videographer page.

Golf

Our crew flew live broadcast drone work for the T-Mobile 5G Range Show at the 2024 PGA Championship. PGA Frisco and the courses around town suit low FPV lines over fairways and clubhouses with the club's approval. See FPV drones for live broadcast, Indoor arena FPV drones and Concert and festival FPV drones across the US. For event coverage see Frisco, TX live event drones.

Sports City USA

Toyota Stadium, Riders Field and The Star make Frisco a sports town. Those venues are not on the FAA stadium list, which covers venues with 30,000 or more seats, but we fly them only with the venue's approval and check NOTAMs for event restrictions. Fully enclosed indoor flights are generally outside FAA airspace rules, so we fly one-take fly-throughs with the owner's approval; see indoor fly-through tours.

Texas drone law

Texas law makes it an offense to fly at or below 400 feet over a sports venue with 30,000 or more seats unless an exception applies, such as a commercial flight that follows FAA rules or the venue's prior written consent, so we work with the venue on every stadium event. Texas law also covers fenced or posted critical infrastructure, such as refineries, power plants, water plants, ports and rail yards, at or below 400 feet, with the same kinds of exceptions, so we get the owner's written consent or keep those sites out of the flight path. Texas bars cities and counties from regulating drones except during permitted special events, for their own drone use, or near their own facilities with FAA approval, so we check festival and parade rules with the organizer and the city.

Airspace

We check every Frisco location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it.

FAQs

Can you fly FPV at PGA Frisco?

Yes, with the club's and organizer's approval, planned around play, guests and airspace.

Is Toyota Stadium on the FAA stadium list?

No. The list covers venues with 30,000 or more seats, but we fly Frisco venues only with the venue's approval and check NOTAMs.

Can a Texas city set drone rules for a festival?

Yes, for permitted special events. Otherwise state law bars cities and counties from regulating drones, so we check event rules with the organizer and the city.

Can FPV footage go live to a stream or screens?

Yes. We send live FPV video to the stream, LED screens or a broadcast truck, and agree the format with your production team before the event.

What insurance do you carry?

Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
