College Station
FPV drone pilot in College Station
We fly FPV and small cinewhoop drones in College Station for game day and campus content, venue and office fly-throughs, events and brand films. FPV adds close, fast, continuous moves that a standard camera drone cannot get, flown by pilots who rehearse each line first. For general aerials, homes and events see our College Station, TX drone videographer page.
Kyle Field and game days
Our crew flew live drone feeds for TV and the video board for the Atlanta Braves at Truist Park. Kyle Field is on the FAA stadium list, so the 3 nautical mile flight restriction applies from an hour before to an hour after covered events. Texas law makes it an offense to fly at or below 400 feet over a sports venue with 30,000 or more seats unless an exception applies, such as a commercial flight that follows FAA rules or the venue's prior written consent, so we work with the venue on every stadium event.
Campus, venues and events
We get the university's approval before any flight on campus. Venues and offices in College Station and Bryan suit one-take FPV tours with the owner's approval. Fully enclosed indoor flights are generally outside FAA airspace rules, so we fly one-take fly-throughs with the owner's approval; see indoor fly-through tours. Flying directly over an open crowd is only allowed when the drone and the operation meet FAA rules for flying over people, so otherwise we keep flight paths over the stage, closed areas and open lanes. Texas bars cities and counties from regulating drones except during permitted special events, for their own drone use, or near their own facilities with FAA approval, so we check festival and parade rules with the organizer and the city. See FPV drones for live broadcast, Indoor arena FPV drones and Concert and festival FPV drones across the US. For event coverage see College Station, TX live event drones.
Airspace and federal sites
Easterwood Field, about 3 miles southwest of the city and next to campus, has a control tower and controlled airspace, so many addresses need LAANC. The federal prison camp in Bryan is a federal no-drone area. Texas law also covers fenced or posted critical infrastructure, such as refineries, power plants, water plants, ports and rail yards, at or below 400 feet, with the same kinds of exceptions, so we get the owner's written consent or keep those sites out of the flight path. We check every College Station location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it. We confirm local permits, venue rules and airspace authorizations before every job.

FAQs
Can you fly at Kyle Field on event days?
Not inside the FAA stadium flight restriction, which covers 3 nautical miles from an hour before to an hour after covered events, unless we are part of the approved production.
Can you fly FPV inside a College Station venue or office?
Yes, with the owner's approval and a route agreed with staff. Fully enclosed indoor flights are generally outside FAA airspace rules.
Can a Texas city set drone rules for a festival?
Yes, for permitted special events. Otherwise state law bars cities and counties from regulating drones, so we check event rules with the organizer and the city.
Can FPV footage go live to a stream or screens?
Yes. We send live FPV video to the stream, LED screens or a broadcast truck, and agree the format with your production team before the event.
What insurance do you carry?
Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
