Griffin

FPV drone pilot in Griffin

We fly FPV and small cinewhoop drones in Griffin for downtown fly-throughs, event recaps, historic home content and brand films. FPV adds close, fast, continuous moves that a standard camera drone cannot get, flown by pilots who rehearse each line first. For general aerials, homes and events see our Griffin, GA drone videographer page. Our headquarters is in Augusta, so Georgia shoots are planned by our home crew.

Downtown Griffin

Downtown Griffin, founded in 1840 and later a textile town, hosts concerts, movies and seasonal festivals on its streets. We film event recaps and downtown promos, and for restaurants and shops an indoor one-take fly-through shows the room the way a guest sees it. Fully enclosed indoor flights are generally outside FAA airspace rules, so we fly one-take fly-throughs with the owner's approval; see indoor fly-through tours.

Historic homes and mill villages

Griffin's historic homes, mill-village neighborhoods and farmland across Spalding County read better from above, and new subdivisions along the US-19/41 corridor are steady work for builders. For live event coverage see our Griffin, GA live event drones page. See FPV drones for live broadcast, Indoor arena FPV drones and Concert and festival FPV drones across the US.

Race days and airspace

EchoPark Speedway in Hampton, north of Griffin, draws an FAA flight restriction on major race days, so shoots close to the track are scheduled around them. A new Griffin-Spalding regional airport is under construction, so the airspace picture around it may change. We check every Griffin location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it.

Georgia drone law

Georgia law makes it a misdemeanor to fly within 400 feet of or above a gated, ticketed music, sports or performing arts event without consent from whoever has authority over the event, with an exception for FAA-authorized operators flying lawfully. We get the organizer's consent in writing anyway, because the venue and promoter control launch spots and crowd areas. State law limits how far cities and counties can write their own drone rules, but event permits, venue contracts and property owners still decide where a crew can launch, so we plan around all three.

FAQs

Can you film historic homes in Griffin?

Yes. Exteriors, grounds and neighborhood context, with stills and video for owners, agents and preservation groups.

Does race day at EchoPark Speedway affect Griffin shoots?

Not inside the FAA flight restriction around the track during major races. We schedule nearby shoots outside those windows.

Can you film a ticketed show in Griffin?

Yes, with the organizer's consent. Georgia law bars drone flights within 400 feet of a gated ticketed event without it, so we get written consent first.

Can FPV footage go live to a stream or screens?

Yes. We send live FPV video to the stream, LED screens or a broadcast truck, and agree the format with your production team before the event.

What insurance do you carry?

Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
