Corpus Christi
FPV drone pilot in Corpus Christi
We fly FPV and small cinewhoop drones in Corpus Christi for beach and bayfront FPV, hotel fly-throughs, festivals and brand launches. FPV adds close, fast, continuous moves that a standard camera drone cannot get, flown by pilots who rehearse each line first. For general aerials, homes and events see our Corpus Christi, TX drone videographer page.
Bayfront, beaches and festivals
Our crew has flown live broadcast and FPV drone coverage at Ultra Music Festival in Miami. The bayfront, North Beach and Padre Island suit low, fast FPV lines with the organizer's or property's approval. Beach shoots add their own limits: crowds, launch spots and sea turtle and shorebird nesting closures, so we check local rules and posted signs first. Flying directly over an open crowd is only allowed when the drone and the operation meet FAA rules for flying over people, so otherwise we keep flight paths over the stage, closed areas and open lanes. See FPV drones for live broadcast, Indoor arena FPV drones and Concert and festival FPV drones across the US. For event coverage see Corpus Christi, TX live event drones.
Hotels and venues
Hotels along the shore and downtown venues suit one-take fly-throughs with the owner's approval. Fully enclosed indoor flights are generally outside FAA airspace rules, so we fly one-take fly-throughs with the owner's approval; see indoor fly-through tours.
Naval air stations and Padre Island
Naval Air Station Corpus Christi is a federal no-drone area around the clock, as is NAS Kingsville to the south, and the Navy's outlying fields add military controlled airspace. Padre Island National Seashore is National Park Service land, where launching or landing a drone is prohibited without the superintendent's written approval. We check every Corpus Christi location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it.
Port, refineries and Texas law
The Port of Corpus Christi and the refineries along the ship channel fall under state law. Texas law makes it an offense to fly at or below 400 feet over a sports venue with 30,000 or more seats unless an exception applies, such as a commercial flight that follows FAA rules or the venue's prior written consent, so we work with the venue on every stadium event. Texas law also covers fenced or posted critical infrastructure, such as refineries, power plants, water plants, ports and rail yards, at or below 400 feet, with the same kinds of exceptions, so we get the owner's written consent or keep those sites out of the flight path.

FAQs
Can you fly FPV near Naval Air Station Corpus Christi?
No. It is a federal no-drone area around the clock, so we plan launch points well clear of it.
Can you launch on Padre Island National Seashore?
Not without the superintendent's written approval. It is National Park Service land.
Can you fly over the port or refineries?
Not without the owner's written consent or another exception under Texas law, so we keep those sites out of the flight path.
Can FPV footage go live to a stream or screens?
Yes. We send live FPV video to the stream, LED screens or a broadcast truck, and agree the format with your production team before the event.
What insurance do you carry?
Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
