Burlington, VT FPV Drone Pilot and Operator

FPV drone pilot in Burlington

We fly FPV and small cinewhoop drones in Burlington for festival and waterfront event content, campus and resort fly-throughs, real estate and weddings. FPV adds close, fast, continuous moves that a standard camera drone cannot get, flown by pilots who rehearse each line first. For general aerials, homes and events see our Burlington, VT drone videographer page.

Festivals, campus and resorts

Our crew flew aerials for the All Things Go Music Festival at Forest Hills Stadium in Queens. We fly downtown and waterfront events, the University of Vermont area, resorts, lakefront real estate and weddings across Burlington and northern Vermont. Fully enclosed indoor flights are generally outside FAA airspace rules, so we fly one-take fly-throughs with the owner's approval; see indoor fly-through tours. See FPV drones for live broadcast, Indoor arena FPV drones and Concert and festival FPV drones across the US. For event coverage see Burlington, VT live event drones.

City parks, state parks and resorts

Most Burlington city parks, including Waterfront Park, sit in controlled airspace, and commercial filming in a city park needs a city permit. Vermont state parks and forests do not allow drones to launch or land without the Commissioner's written approval, given through a special use permit or license for commercial work. Ski resorts set their own drone rules, and we confirm them before any mountain shoot. Flying directly over an open crowd is only allowed when the drone and the operation meet FAA rules for flying over people, so otherwise we keep flight paths over the stage, closed areas and open lanes.

Airport and military areas

Patrick Leahy Burlington International sits under Class C airspace, and downtown Burlington is inside its surface area. The Vermont Air National Guard installations at the airport are federal no-drone areas, closed from the ground to 400 feet around the clock. Restricted area R-6501A near Underhill, around the Camp Ethan Allen training site, is closed to drones whenever it is active. We check every Burlington location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it.
