Fargo, ND Live Event and Concert Drones

Live event drones in Fargo

This page is for event producers, promoters and venues planning a live event in Fargo. We fly concerts, festivals, parades, arena shows, races and brand activations, with drone feeds sent live to screens, the stream or a broadcast truck, plus fast edits for social. For homes, tourism and general aerials see our Fargo, ND drone videographer page.

Dome events, concerts and college sports

Our crew flew sub-100-gram livestream drones for UNITY at the Sphere in Las Vegas, with the live feed shown on its immersive screen. We fly Fargodome events, concerts, college sports, downtown festivals, ag and corporate sites, construction progress and real estate across Fargo and the Red River Valley. For concerts and stadium events we film recaps, and for larger shows we send live drone feeds to the stream or screens. See Live drone feeds for video boards and Concert and festival FPV drones across the US.

Fargodome and arenas

For Fargodome concerts and North Dakota State game days we work with the venue and check for any temporary flight restriction before the event. Inside the dome and other arenas we fly small drones with the venue's approval. Flying directly over an open crowd is only allowed when the drone and the operation meet FAA rules for flying over people, so otherwise we keep flight paths over the stage, closed areas and open lanes. Fully enclosed indoor flights are generally outside FAA airspace rules, so we fly one-take fly-throughs with the owner's approval; see indoor fly-through tours.

Hector International and state parks

Hector International has Class D airspace from the surface to 3,400 feet above sea level within about 4.4 miles of the airport, which takes in much of north Fargo. The North Dakota Air National Guard's wing is based at the airport. North Dakota Parks and Recreation rules prohibit drones on department land for hobby, recreational or commercial use unless the director or deputy director authorizes the flight. We request that authorization before any park shoot. We keep neighbors and people on private property out of frame unless they agree to be filmed. We check every Fargo location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it.
