Covington
The square on screen
Covington's courthouse square, with the 1884 Newton County courthouse and its clock tower, has stood in for fictional towns on screen, most famously Mystic Falls in The Vampire Diaries. We film the square for tourism, businesses and events, and for interiors an indoor one-take fly-through shows the room the way a guest sees it; see indoor fly-through tours.
Film and TV production
For productions working in Newton County we provide licensed aerial units for establishing shots, chase work and B-roll, with FAA waivers and insurance certificates in place before the first day. For premieres, festivals and events we film recaps, and for larger shows we send live drone feeds to the stream or screens; see live broadcast drones and concert and festival drones.
Real estate and industry
Historic homes near the square, new subdivisions and the industrial and logistics sites along I-20 are steady work, and aerials show lot lines, access and progress better than ground photos.
Airspace
Covington Municipal Airport, a few miles from the square, has no control tower. We check every Covington location on the FAA sectional, B4UFLY and NOTAMs before quoting, and file LAANC or FAA authorization for any address that needs it.
