Decatur, GA Drone Videographer and Operator
Air Views Media is a drone videography company serving Decatur for homes, schools and colleges, small businesses and civic video. We're based in Augusta, Georgia, and fly across metro Atlanta with FAA Part 107 certified pilots and $10M liability standard (optional up to $25M).
Bungalows under the canopy
Oakhurst, Winnona Park and the streets around downtown are known for craftsman bungalows under heavy tree cover. That canopy is beautiful, and it is also the main challenge for aerial real estate. Shot from directly above in summer, a house can disappear. We plan around it: lower oblique angles that look under the trees, late fall and winter shoots when the leaves are down, and a rise that ends on the square or the skyline to sell the location.
Schools, colleges and nonprofits
Agnes Scott, Columbia Theological Seminary, Emory and the city's schools need aerials for admissions, capital campaigns and construction updates. We fly early, before students arrive, and deliver footage your team can cut into longer films.
Downtown businesses and events
Restaurants, shops and breweries around Decatur Square and the East Lake and Oakhurst business districts use short aerials to show where they are and what the neighborhood feels like. Event organizers use recaps of festivals on the square. For music and fast moves, see our Decatur FPV pilot page.
Commercial and film
For ads and productions we fly cinema payloads and plan with the director, as on a Jack Link's commercial and a Honda vehicle release. See drone cinematography for film.
Airspace
Decatur is a short hop from DeKalb-Peachtree Airport in some of the region's busiest airspace, so we check airspace for every outdoor shoot and file any LAANC or waiver requests ahead of time.

FAQs
Will trees hide our house in a drone video?
They can in summer. We use lower angles that look under the canopy, or suggest a leaf-off shoot when timing allows.
Do you film schools and colleges?
Yes, usually before students arrive, coordinated with campus security and communications.
Can you show how close a home is to the square?
Yes. A rise from the property that ends on downtown is one of our most common Decatur shots.
Do you need FAA approval in Decatur?
Usually. We file LAANC or an FAA authorization for the address.
What insurance do you carry?
Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
