Decatur, GA FPV Drone Pilot
Air Views Media flies FPV drones in Decatur for music venues, restaurants, festivals and campuses. Our Georgia crew has flown DJ Snake at the Brooklyn Mirage and Paramore in a Seattle arena, and we bring that eye for live music to Decatur's smaller rooms. FAA Part 107 certified pilots, $10M liability standard (optional up to $25M).
Music rooms and small stages
Decatur has a strong listening-room culture, from Eddie's Attic to the bars and patios around the square. In a small room, an FPV drone has to be quiet, small and choreographed. We fly ducted micro drones on a rehearsed line during soundcheck or a planned song, from the bar to the stage lip and over the drummer's shoulder, and only with the artist's and venue's approval.
The square and the festivals
Decatur Square, the courthouse lawn and the MARTA plaza fill up for the Decatur Arts Festival, the book festival and summer concerts. FPV can show the whole event in one sweep: through the vendor tents, around the old courthouse, out over the crowd edge to the stage. We fly with the city's and organizer's approval, outside the crowd unless our waivers allow otherwise. See concert and festival FPV.
Campus films
Agnes Scott College's Gothic buildings and the Emory campus nearby make striking FPV settings for admissions and donor films: through an arched hall, across the quad, up a bell tower. We work on the schedule your communications team sets and fly small drones indoors.
Airspace
Decatur is a few miles south of DeKalb-Peachtree Airport and inside metro Atlanta's busy airspace, so we check airspace for each address and file any LAANC or waiver requests in advance. Indoor flights don't need them.

FAQs
Can you fly FPV inside a small music venue?
Yes, with micro drones on a rehearsed route, and only with the venue's and artist's approval.
Will the drone be loud during a show?
Micro drones are quieter, and we time flights for loud passages or soundcheck so they don't intrude.
Can you film the Decatur Arts Festival?
With the organizer's and city's approval and FAA authorization, flying outside the crowd unless our waivers allow otherwise.
Do you need FAA approval in Decatur?
Outdoors, usually yes. We file LAANC or an FAA authorization for the address.
What insurance do you carry?
Our standard policy is $10M liability, with optional coverage up to $25M when a venue, league or network requires it. Certificates naming your venue or production are issued before the shoot.
