ABOUT OUR DALLAS WORK
Dallas Drone Videography and Stadium Live Broadcast
Air Views Media travels to Dallas-Fort Worth for stadium nights, arena shows and big events. We haven't flown a Dallas job yet. What we bring is in-stadium live work and a plan for Texas's own stadium drone law. For the Atlanta Braves we fed live drone shots to TV and the video board from inside Truist Park, and for Mississippi State football in 2026 we feed the video boards at Davis Wade Stadium. In Texas, we covered Austin City Limits for its Hulu live broadcast and filmed The Independent in Austin for Science Channel's Impossible Engineering. We're based in Augusta, GA, and stadium work in North Texas is planned the same way as anywhere else we fly: approvals first, then the crew and the travel. We fly stadium video-board feeds, live aerial broadcast, concerts and festivals, micro-drone fly-through tours and FPV cinematography. See every city we fly.
Stadium work under Texas rules
Dallas-Fort Worth has some of the biggest stadiums in the country, and Texas has a state law about flying over them on top of the FAA's rules. Getting a drone into the air at a Texas stadium is mostly about getting the right consent in writing. Getting a usable shot is about having done it inside stadiums before.
We flew inside Truist Park for the Braves, feeding the broadcast and the board. At Davis Wade Stadium, a 60,000-seat SEC stadium, we feed Mississippi State's video boards. That's the same kind of work Dallas venues ask for. See how stadium video-board feeds work.
Texas stadium law and DFW airspace
Under Texas Government Code §423.0046, flying a drone at or below 400 feet over a sports venue with 30,000 or more seats is an offense unless an exception applies, such as flying for the venue or with its prior written consent. The Cowboys' stadium in Arlington, Globe Life Field and the Cotton Bowl all fit that size. We get the venue's written consent as part of every Texas stadium booking.
The FAA's standing stadium restriction also applies to MLB, NFL and major college football games: no flights within 3 nautical miles and up to 3,000 feet from an hour before to an hour after the event, unless approved. DFW International and Dallas Love Field put much of the metro under Class B airspace, so outdoor flights need FAA authorization for the exact site and altitude.
How we'd staff a Dallas stadium day
Each drone gets a pilot and a visual observer, flight areas are agreed with the venue's operations and game-presentation staff ahead of time, and the feed is cabled to the control room or truck. For indoor venues and closed roofs we fly micro FPV drones sized for flight near seats. For fan fests and outdoor events, we add over-crowd FPV drones and a cinema drone, plus a content team in parallel if you want social clips.
Waivers and broadcast setup
Air Views Media is run by Clark Lupton, an FAA Part 107 certified pilot since 2017. Our FAA Part 107 remote pilots operate under FAA waivers for flight over people (§107.39), over moving vehicles (§107.145), multiple aircraft (§107.35), beyond visual line of sight (§107.31), operation from a moving vehicle (§107.25) and operating limitations (§107.51). For live shows, our setup puts a COFDM camera transmitter on a micro FPV drone carrying a PROTON 4K FLEX camera, so the truck can shade it (iris, color, exposure) through Cyanview like any other camera, with feeds cabled into the truck. See our FPV live broadcast setup and FAA waiver consulting.
Dallas drone questions
Have you worked in Dallas before?
Not yet. Our stadium credits are the Braves at Truist Park and Mississippi State at Davis Wade Stadium, and our Texas credits are Austin City Limits and Impossible Engineering in Austin. We travel to Dallas for the right project.
Is it legal to fly a drone over the Cowboys stadium in Arlington?
Texas law makes it an offense to fly at or below 400 feet over a sports venue with 30,000 or more seats unless an exception applies, such as the venue's prior written consent. On game days the FAA's stadium restriction also applies. We get both the consent and any FAA approval.
Can you fly inside Globe Life Field?
With the roof closed, the work is indoor flying planned with the venue. We use micro FPV drones built for flight near people.
Can your drone feed go to our video board?
Yes. We cable the feed to your control room or truck. We've fed live drone shots to the video boards for the Braves and Mississippi State.
Do you also shoot content?
Yes. We can run a content team alongside the live team, so the same event gives you live shots and edited clips.
Are you based in Dallas?
No. We're based in Augusta, GA, with a second location in Lynchburg, VA, and we travel to Dallas-Fort Worth for broadcasts, games and events.
