FPV Drone Pilot in Los Angeles
Air Views Media is an FPV drone pilot and drone operator team for Los Angeles concerts, festivals, stadium events and broadcasts. At the Vans Warped Tour stop in Long Beach, Air Views Media flew drones for the live broadcast on Prime Video, while our content teams shot social and recap footage alongside the broadcast teams. That is the setup we bring to live events across Los Angeles: a clean live FPV feed for the stream, the truck or the screens in the venue, and a second crew producing edited content from the same show, with one safety plan and one set of airspace authorizations.
Vans Warped Tour, Long Beach, live on Prime Video
Warped Tour in Long Beach was a live broadcast first. The broadcast teams flew for the Prime Video feed: over-crowd FPV drones for close passes and a cinema drone for the wide shots, with feeds cabled into the broadcast truck so the director could cut to the drone like any other camera. At the same time, our content teams flew and shot on their own schedule for social posts and recap edits. We flew the Orlando stop the same way.
Running both teams under one company matters on a live show. The content crew's flying is planned around the broadcast so the live picture always comes first, the RF plan covers every aircraft on site, and the production deals with one point of contact instead of two drone vendors.
Live FPV to LED walls and IMAG
A live drone picture does not have to leave the venue. In Los Angeles arenas, amphitheaters and festival sites, the screens beside the stage are often the biggest audience for a drone shot. We hand the live FPV feed to your switcher, LED processor or IMAG system at a handoff point agreed in advance, and your director or screens operator takes it on cue.
The workflow is the same whether the screen is an arena center-hung, a festival IMAG wall or a stadium video board. First, we agree the handoff point and the signal format with your video team. Second, we coordinate frequencies with your RF coordinator so our video and control links stay clean among wireless mics, in-ear monitors and LED processors. Third, for broadcast work, a COFDM transmitter on a micro FPV drone carries a PROTON 4K FLEX camera that the truck can shade through Cyanview RCP, so the aerial matches the other cameras on the wall. Fourth, we measure end-to-end delay with your team in rehearsal, so the director knows what the screen will show and when.
We have sent live drone feeds to the TV broadcast and the stadium video board at Truist Park for the Atlanta Braves, to the Davis Wade Stadium video boards for Mississippi State football, and from the drone goggles to the interior screen of the Sphere in Las Vegas. Los Angeles venues and live productions
Los Angeles runs a constant calendar of live production: arena tours, amphitheater seasons, festival weekends, award-show week pop-ups, brand activations and TV stages. We fly concerts and festivals, live broadcast segments, artist content and brand events, and our national credits include FOX's So You Think You Can Dance, Live Nation events, Honda and Jack Link's. For film and commercial work in the city, see our Los Angeles drone videography page.
Airspace and permits in Los Angeles
Much of the LA basin sits under the LAX Class B airspace, and Burbank, Long Beach, Van Nuys and Santa Monica add their own controlled airspace. Outdoor flights near those airports need FAA authorization for the exact site and altitude, and we confirm it before we quote a shot list. Stadiums such as SoFi, Dodger Stadium, the Coliseum and the Rose Bowl carry the FAA's standing stadium flight restriction during MLB, NFL and major college football games, so game-day flights need FAA approval and the venue's agreement.
Filming on public property in the City and County of Los Angeles is permitted through FilmLA, and Long Beach issues its own film permits. We work with your production or locations team on permits and supply the drone paperwork they need. Indoor arena flights are planned with the venue's operations team, and we fly micro drones built for indoor work near people.

FAQs
Have you flown FPV at live events in Los Angeles?
Yes. We flew drones for the Vans Warped Tour Long Beach live broadcast on Prime Video, with content teams shooting alongside the broadcast teams.
Can you send a live FPV feed to our LED wall or IMAG screens?
Yes. We hand the live feed to your switcher, LED processor or IMAG system at an agreed point, and your team cuts to it like any other camera. We measure the delay with you in rehearsal.
Can you run a live feed and shoot content at the same event?
Yes. At Warped Tour our broadcast and content teams ran side by side, under one safety plan and one set of authorizations, with the live show always first.
Can you fly near LAX, SoFi or Dodger Stadium?
Only with the right FAA authorization. Much of LA is Class B airspace, and major stadiums carry a standing flight restriction on game days, so we file and plan for it before every flight.
Are you based in Los Angeles?
No. We are based in Augusta, GA, with a second location in Lynchburg, VA, and we travel to Los Angeles for live events with our core crew. Insurance is the $10 million aviation liability standard (optional up to $25 million).
